Certificate in Computing with Accounting
The Certificate in Computing with Accounting course is designed to
provide school leavers with a firm educational foundation in computing
with strong elements of its applications to accounting in a business
environment so as to enable them to assume professional positions as
direct computer personnel in commercial firms with computer installations.
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional (SPMV) as follows: - (i) Pass in Bahasa Melayu,
English Language and Matematik.
Graduates of Certificate in Computing with Accounting may be considered for credit transfer to the Diploma in Science (Business Information Systems). Many universities in the United Kingdom and Australia consider the Certificate as equivalent to G.C.E. (A Level) or S.T.P.M. qualification. Several universities admit graduates of this course into the second year of a three-year degree course depending on the relevance and grades achieved of the subjects taken in the course. Certificate holders may also gain admission to degree courses in the United States with credit transfer of relevant subjects taken in the course. In a number of American universities, exemption of up to 60 credits are possible depending on the relevance and grades achieved of the subjects taken in the course.
